Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

They screwed up my windshield replacement and sent me on my way with a more damaged windshield while they waited for parts. The added week long delays affected a trip and the acting manager, Alex, tried to work with me and corporate to solve the issue. Ultimately they couldn't offer me a reasonable solution that worked with my time-frame and finances. I understand mistakes happen, and I appreciate the effort to solve it. But when you get the part on hand to fix a customer's vehicle who has already paid you for the work, had been delayed, and is now on a tight time-frame maybe just cancel another appointment to take care of the customer who you've already screwed up? That's a lot less costly in the end.

Had some issues with getting the right window, but the technician was outstanding and deserves the highest rating. I admit I was extremely unhappy with the issues with getting the window. First the window was damaged on arrival at the shop. Not the fault of Safelite. Second time it was missing a wire. That’s on them. However the technician that came out both times was outstanding. His workmanship was excellent. I hate having a window replaced especially a factory window but the replacement looks better than the factory. The technician was professional and personable and treated my car with care. I believe he treated my vehicle like his own and that meant a lot. I can’t say enough about how impressed I was at this level of service. That’s a reflection on Safelites leadership. The outstanding service by far overcame any issues with acquiring the window. For that alone I would use Safelite again. I hope I don’t have to but at least I now know that they’re there. Thank you Safelite.

Great job. Before they were officially open. The two gentleman getting ready to start their day asked me if I was key dropping. I said yes. They said here we will take your keys and will call you when we are all set. Not required but appreciate the care.

Incompetent and rude service. I have been to this Safelite location three times, and my situation is now worse than when I started. Initially, I only had a crack in my windshield. After the replacement, my car began leaking water inside. I’m concerned this could damage the interior electronics and safety features. I returned and provided photos clearly showing water entering the vehicle, but I was told they could not find a leak and would not fix the issue. Despite multiple incidents of leaking, I still don’t have a resolution and am unsure what to do next. Additionally, each time I bring my car in, the interior and dashboard are left muddy, dirty, and with an unpleasant smell after their work or testing. If you have a cracked windshield, I strongly recommend avoiding this location. It would be worth traveling farther to receive better service elsewhere.

3(***) as I like to leave to viewers to judge. My windshield got cracked so called the insurance and they told okay, we're partner with Safelite and connected me with Safelite. Got appointment - went to this location on Clinton st, signed on and gave the key - sat around 10 minutes - someone came and said "the glass came for your car got scratched". Okay another appointment next day - on my way going to there - received call from Safelite saying " your glass didn't arrive". Okay next appointment - Until now, I would say nothing to complain, it's usual things happen. Came to the location - got windshield installed!! And then these are the issues appeared as you can see on the pictures!! Called to Safelite office - explained them the issues - got another appointment under warranty - arrived at the location again - three person came out checked the windshield - somewhat hesitation, this and that. Gave me two options a) call your insurance if they provide OEM glass, it will fit perfectly b) after 10 days when new installation dry perfectly then we can do it again to center it. Regarding their mistakes, two person who installed - they said "it's perfect and is supposed to be like this
